How to Find your NFT on laCollection.io
You found an NFT you love, you excitedly purchase it and you wait for the email saying that it has been transferred to you. You eagerly open your account, go to “My Collection”… and there’s nothing.
Or the day comes that your NFT arrives, you go into your OpenSea account… and you don’t see your NFT listed under your collection. What is going on?
Have no fear! There are quite a few explanations as to why you don’t see the NFT in your account or wallet. And while the NFT may not be visible in your wallet, it may be located elsewhere.
Here are some steps to help you find it:
If you don’t find your NFT in your Crypto Wallet:
While this situation is understandably perplexing, there is not need to panic if your NFT does not appear in your MetaMask or Fortmatic wallet.
It is most often the case that you have created multiple accounts with us. We provide many different options for logging into laCollection; however, each option creates an independent account.
When you buy, the NFT gets sent to the account on which you were logged in — if you logged in through your MetaMask, it gets sent to your wallet there, if you logged in through email, it gets sent to your automatically generated laCollection address.
If you want the NFT to arrive into your wallet (supported by laCollection), make sure that you are logged in and buying on the account made with that wallet. If it has not arrived into your wallet, double check your account on laCollection: chances are you have bought on a different account. If the NFT is in your laCollection account, you can transfer it to your wallet using the steps mentioned HERE.
It could also be due to your wallet set-up. If you are using MetaMask, this wallet may not always automatically display your tokens. To have the NFTs displayed in your wallet, you can use the ‘NFT autodetect’ feature or manually through the ‘Import NFTs’ feature. Make sure you read the MetaMask instructions before starting.
If you don’t find your NFT on laCollection.io:
Much like the situation mentioned above, chances are the NFT exists in another account you have made with us. Double check using all of your previous logins (i.e. Facebook, email, Fortmatic, etc.). If your NFT is in another account, and you would like to transfer it, you can follow the steps mentioned HERE.
If you don’t find your NFT listed on OpenSea:
If you were tracking your transfer on OpenSea, but cannot find it, chances are it could be under the ‘Hidden’ portion of your OpenSea profile.
This feature on OpenSea is intended to protect its users, sometimes like the spam filter in your email; however, it can hide NFTs from legitimate projects that you have purchased from. Please note that it is important to be very careful interacting with NFTs that have been airdropped from unknown sources. If you are expecting an NFT from laCollection, the NFTs will say “LaCollection.io” below the image.
To ‘Unhide’ the NFT, go to the ‘More’ section of your profile. You will find the table labeled ‘Hidden’, scroll through the NFTs there, being very careful not to interact with unknown sources. Once you find the NFT from laCollection, click the three dot menu on the NFT and select ‘Unhide.’ The NFT should now be visible in your collection.
After all of this, you still cannot find your NFT:
The great thing about working with blockchain technology, is that the transaction is easily traceable. If you still cannot find your NFT, reach out to us on Discord or the chat option on our website at laCollection.io and we can take a look for you!
